Tajweed Lesson Two, Part: 1. Arabic Letter Pronunciation with examples (Utterance - Makharaj - مَخْرخ)

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ
Bismillah-ir-Rahman-ir-Rahim
(In the Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Most Kind).

While reciting The Holy Quran we have to follow some rules, these rules are called Tajweed.

In Tajweed we will learn the following subjects and rules.

1, In Tajweed the first and Important thing is Makhaarij (Utterance - The Places of origination and characteristics of Arabic letters).

2, Adjective or attribute

3, Elongation or prolongation

4, Emanates

5, Starting and stopping of ayat and  Conclude the surah

The Makhaarij of the Letters
The correct position of the organs of speech in order to produce a letter so that it can be differentiated from others. This is equally so whether the letter is a consonant or a vowel.

Being able to recite the letters correctly is the foundation of tajweed, and this is achieved by knowing where the sound originates. This can then help in practicing the pronunciation of the letters correctly.
