Ghunna - غُنَّة (Nasalization) Any نّ  or مّ  will have a sound that emanates from the nose. You encounter Ghunna's in the Quran hundreds of times and it adds to the flow and beauty of the Quran. The duration of the Ghunnah (غُنَّة)  sound is for 2 counts. Example from the Quran: Surah 114, Ayat 1-6 قُلۡ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ ٱل نَّ اسِ ١ مَلِكِ ٱل نَّ اسِ ٢ إِلَٰهِ  ٱل نَّ اسِ ٣ مِن شَرِّ ٱلۡوَسۡوَاسِ ٱلۡخَ نَّ اسِ ٤ ٱلَّذِي  يُوَسۡوِسُ فِي صُدُورِ ٱل نَّ اسِ ٥ مِنَ ٱلۡجِ نَّ ةِ وَٱل نَّ اسِ ٦ Surah 111, Ayat 4 وَٱمۡرَأَتُهُۥ حَ مَّ الَةَ ٱلۡحَطَبِ ٤ Surah 74, Ayat 20-23 ثُ مَّ قُتِلَ كَيۡفَ قَدَّرَ ٢٠ ثُ مَّ نَظَرَ ٢١ ثُ مَّ عَبَسَ وَبَسَرَ  ٢٢ ثُ مَّ أَدۡبَرَ وَٱسۡتَكۡبَرَ ٢٣ NOTE: This page contains Arabic text and I strongly advice you get the  free Firefox web  browser, as this browser seems to render this page far better than any other browser.
