Rules of Tajweed Merging - إِدْغَامٌ

Bismillah-ir-Rahman-ir-Rahim

Idgham - إِدْغَامٌ (Merging)

Laam - ل
If Laam Sakeena followed by  any of these 14 letters ت ث د ذ ر ز س ش ص ض ط ظ ل  ن the former will become incorporated into the letter with Sadha.

Idgham with Ghunna إِدْغَامٌ بِغُنَّةٍ  (Merging with Nasalization)

Noon Sakeena or Tanween

Any Noon Sakeena ن, نْ or Tanween ـــًـــٍـــٌـــ followed by any of these letters ن, و, م, ي in other word will become assimilated into the following letter and will be read with Ghunna, butن, م  will read with Shaddah(إِدْغَام كَامِل)  and و, ي will read without Shaddah(إِدْغَام نَاقِص) . Because و, ي are light letters.

Example:
ن
مِن نِّعْمَةٍ
رَسُولًا نَّبِيًّأ

و
مِن وَّلِيٍّ
خَيـرٌ وَّأَبْقَى

م
مِن مَّشْهَدِ
فِي كِتَابٍ مُّبِينٍ

ي
مَن يَّقُولُ
خَيْـرًا يَّرَهُ

Note:  If و or ن comes after Noon Sakeena in any of these صِنْوَانٌ, قِنْوَانٌ, دُنْيَا, بُنْيَانٌ in a single word, then the rule will be Al-Izhaar - اَلْإظْهَارُ .

OR

When a Meem Sakeenaمْ  is followed by Meem Shaddahمّ  , the former will become incorporated into the letter and will be read with Ghunna.

تُنجِيكُم مِنْ عَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ 0

لَكُم مَّاكَسَبْتُم

Rules of Tajweed - إدْغَامٌ بِلَاغُنَّةٍ - Merging without Nasalization

Bismillah-ir-Rahman-ir-Rahim Idgham without Ghunna إدْغَامٌ بِلَاغُنَّةٍ   (Merging without Nasalization) Any Noon Sakeena ن, نْ   or Tanween ـــًـــٍـــٌــ   followed by the letter ل or ر will become assimilated into the following letter but the Ghunna will not be pronounced.
